A tribute to Sven-David Sandström
It was a great joy and honour to sing at the Tribute Concert to Sven-David Sandström a week ago in Katarina kyrka, Stockholm. I was in a company of wonderful co-singers and musicians, such as Lowe Derwinger, Nils Landgren, Johan Norberg, Marianne Eklöf, Lena Willemark, Cecilia Zilliacus, Irma Schultz, among others.
The music of Sven-David is closely entwined to the lyrics, and to sing his music is just like taking off to a higher level and like surfing at the waves of melodies and harmonies!
During this concert I got the chance to sing with fantastic pianist Lowe Derwinger. I sang music from Uppbrott and from Bathsheba by Sven-David Sandström and one song by Hugo Alfvén.
