What a colorful afternoon, this past Saturday, at the concert hall Musikaliska, Stockholm. The concert (as part of the Baltic Sea Festival/Östersjöfestivalen 2016) celebrated...

...the Swedish composer Carin Malmlöf-Forssling 100 years, and I contributed by singing her expressive and emotional  In Memoriam. This piece is written for solo soprano voice, and to let the audience be surrounded by the melody lines, I was standing at the balcony performing!

After intermission I got the opportunity to sing three songs by Benjamin Britten, originally composed for the song cycle Les Illuminations. Britten chose while finishing the cycle to leave some songs behind, these three songs included. It was a great pleasure doing this amazing music with Musica Vitae, the artistic leader Malin Broman and conductor Simon Crawford-Phillips. Thank you all!!
